The 2020 California Hospital Volunteer Leadership Conference, “Engineering Change. Inspiring Leadership.,” took place February 17-19 at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach.

Recognizing that hospitals are not immune to public shootings and the role they play in caring for victims, this year’s Disaster Planning Conference, set for Sept. 13-14 in Pasadena, will feature several sessions on active threats in hospitals.
This year’s Disaster Planning for California Hospitals Conference – to be held Sept. 10-11 in Pasadena – will feature a tour of Caltech’s Seismological Lab. Internationally recognized for excellence in geophysical research and academics, the lab serves as a focal point for earthquake information in Southern California and the world.
What’s happening: CHA will host the 2024 Disaster Planning Conference in Pasadena on Sept. 10 and 11 to discuss disaster planning, training, and implementation.
What else to know: Registration is open. Early bird pricing ends Aug. 9, and the hotel room block closes Aug. 19.
On Sept. 21, CHA will host a webinar about how to prepare for and respond to a cybersecurity breach. This is a precursor to the 2023 Disaster Planning Conference, which features cybersecurity as a complete breakout session track.
