This year’s Disaster Planning for California Hospitals Conference – to be held Sept. 10-11 in Pasadena – will feature a tour of Caltech’s Seismological Lab. Internationally recognized for excellence in geophysical research and academics, the lab serves as a focal point for earthquake information in Southern California and the world.
The tour, within walking distance of the Pasadena Conference Center, will be held after Tuesday evening’s reception.
Other conference highlights include:
- Seven general sessions and 12 breakouts with topics ranging from “The Future of the Hospital Preparedness Program” to “Strategic Response to Workplace Violence in Hospitals” and “Helping First Responders Help Themselves”
- The unique CEO perspective on leading through critical situations
- A 9/11 tribute from a responder who was on the scene 18 years ago
- A special session on “Ethics and 21st Century Health Threats”
