Recognizing that hospitals are not immune to public shootings and the role they play in caring for victims, this year’s Disaster Planning Conference, set for Sept. 13-14 in Pasadena, will feature several sessions on active threats in hospitals.

The sessions are as follows, and all will be live-streamed:

Day 1:   Active Shooter Preparation and Training for Hospitals

Day 2: Uvalde Texas: School Shooting Medical Response Teams

Pros and Cons: Protection Dogs in Hospitals for Security

Return to Work: Resilience and Care

In addition to the active threat sessions, there are many other topics on the agenda. For those who can’t attend in person, there will be a virtual option.
