CHA Issues Summaries of Three FFY 2024 Medicare Payment Final Rules

CHA has issued members-only summaries, prepared by Health Policy Alternatives, Inc., of the final rules updating the Medicare payment policies and rates for inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs), inpatient psychiatric facilities (IPFs), and hospice facilities for federal fiscal year (FFY) 2024. CMS Issues CY 2024 OPPS Proposed Rule

On July 13, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued its calendar year (CY) 2024 outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) proposed rule. CMS estimates that Medicare expenditures under OPPS will increase by $6 billion relative to estimated current year payments based on changes in the proposed rule.  

CMS Issues CY 2024 End-Stage Renal Disease PPS Proposed Rule

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued a proposed rule updating payment rates and policies for information under the end-stage renal disease (ESRD) prospective payment system for renal dialysis services furnished to Medicare beneficiaries for calendar year (CY) 2024. Comments are due to CMS by 2 p.m. (PT) on Aug. 25.  

CHA Comments on FFY 2024 IRF, SNF, and IPF PPS Proposed Rules

CHA has submitted comments on the federal fiscal year 2024 inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) prospective payment system (PPS), skilled-nursing facility (SNF) PPS, and inpatient psychiatric facility (IPF) PPS proposed rules. CHA encourages members to use the drafts as a template to submit their own comment letters.
