The American Hospital Association (AHA) will hold an AHA members-only webinar with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. (PT) to discuss a proposed process and draft methodology for reviewing hospital public assistance projects for potential duplication of benefits with patient care revenue. Data Reporting Will Transition to CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network in Mid-December

In mid-December, COVID-19 data will be reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). The NHSN will assume responsibility for collecting the data when the Department of Health and Human Services’ contract with TeleTracking expires on Dec. 31.  

Disproportionate Share Hospital Eligibility for 2022-23 Data Corrections Due on Sept. 12

On Aug. 1, the Department of Health Care Services notified district hospitals and private hospitals of their tentative eligibility for disproportionate share hospital (DSH) and virtual DSH, also known as DSH replacement, for fiscal year 2022-23. Hospitals have until Sept. 12 to review their DSH eligibility determination and may correct and resubmit their data if they believe it to be inaccurate.
