CMS Delays Start Date of Radiation Oncology Model

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has issued a final rule that indefinitely delays the current start date of the Radiation Oncology (RO) model to a date to be determined through future rulemaking. The RO model will not begin on Jan. 1, 2023; the start date is not known at this time.

The California Health and Human Services Agency has released the Data Sharing Agreement and related policies and procedures required under Assembly Bill (AB) 133. To assist members, CHA has prepared a fact sheet about the Data Sharing Agreement, open items still in consideration, and the next steps for the state.
