DMHC Proposes Emergency Regulations on Patient Transfers

On Jan. 12, the Department of Managed Health Care proposed adopting emergency regulations on the transfers of enrollees per state or local public health orders. Once approved by the Office of Administrative Law and filed with the Secretary of State, the regulations will be effective and remain in effect for 180 days.

CDPH has issued AFL 20-70, which recommends that skilled-nursing facilities coordinate with their non-emergency medical transportation and non-medical transportation providers, in accordance with the Department of Health Care Services guidance.

CDPH Requests Emergency Contact for Health Facilities

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued All Facilities Letter (AFL) 19-38 requesting a designated emergency contact for all health facilities, as well as a designated contact to receive AFLs. To provide information, submit it through the department’s emergency contact survey site.
