CMS Announces Virtual Training for Expanded IRF-PAI, LTCH-CARE

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will provide virtual training for the updated inpatient rehabilitation facility patient assessment instrument 4.0 and the long-term care hospital continuity assessment record and evaluation data set 5.0, which take effect Oct. 1.

CHA has issued a members-only summary, prepared by Health Policy Alternatives, Inc., of the fiscal year 2023 skilled-nursing facility (SNF) prospective payment system proposed rule recently issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Comments on the proposed rule are due to CMS by 2 p.m. (PT) on June 10.

Uber and Amtrak quickly followed suit. At the same time, COVID-19 cases are rising in parts of the country, and experts are predicting another surge later this year.
