HRSA Announces Funding Opportunity for Community Health Worker Training Program

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has announced the availability of $226.5 million in American Rescue Plan funding to launch the Community Health Worker Training Program.  

HRSA plans to award 75 grants of up to $3 million each. HRSA plans to train 13,000 new and current community health workers and other health support workers to assist with public health needs and emergencies in underserved communities. Nonprofit organizations, academic health centers, health professions schools, and state and local governments are eligible to apply.   

Applications are due June 14. HRSA will hold a technical assistance webinar on May 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (PT).
