The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will provide virtual training for the updated inpatient rehabilitation facility patient assessment instrument 4.0 and the long-term care hospital continuity assessment record and evaluation data set 5.0, which take effect Oct. 1.
The training will focus on the cross-setting implementation of the standardized patient assessment data elements, as required by the Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation Act of 2014.
The two-part training program will include recorded session videos providing foundational knowledge and live virtual workshops for coding practice. Registration is now available. Part 1 recorded videos will be available beginning May 9; live virtual workshops will be conducted on June 15 and 16 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (PT).
