A doula delivers emotional and physical support for the birthing parent before, during, and after pregnancy and childbirth. While doulas can’t provide medical advice or care, they can and do assist and advocate for the birthing parent. The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) added doula services as a covered Medi-Cal benefit on January 1, 2023. What does that mean for hospitals?

Join this webinar and learn more about creating a partnership between your hospital and the doulas that serve your geographic area. Learn about the legal requirements associated with doulas as well as best practices from a hospital with a successful doula program. Raise your patient satisfaction scores by establishing a successful care team for the birthing parent to include health care professionals and doulas.
