What’s happening: The Hospital Quality Institute (HQI) has released its CHPSO Annual Report, an overview of the most significant work done on behalf of hospitals in 2023.  

What else to know: HQI is dedicated to improving the quality and safety of patient care in hospitals and health care systems and oversees the Collaborative Health Care Patient Safety Organization (CHPSO). The focus of CHPSO is on improving patient safety and quality of care by collecting, analyzing, and sharing data on adverse events and near misses in health care.

What’s happening: CHA DataSuite has issued a hospital-specific analysis of the Medicare hospital federal fiscal year (FFY) 2025 wage index and occupational mix data. 

What else to know: The data has been revised and is the second of three wage and occupational mix data public use files (PUFs) that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued to develop the hospital wage index for FFY 2025.

CHA DataSuite Releases Analysis of FFY 2024 Medicare Skilled Nursing Facility Prospective Payment System Final Rule

CHA DataSuite issued a hospital-specific analysis of federal fiscal year (FFY) 2024 Medicare skilled-nursing facility (SNF) prospective payment system (PPS) final rule. The analysis shows providers how Medicare fee-for-service payments will change from FFY 2023 to FFY 2024 based on the policies set forth in the final rule.
