CHA DataSuite issued a hospital-specific analysis of federal fiscal year (FFY) 2024 Medicare skilled-nursing facility (SNF) prospective payment system (PPS) final rule. The analysis shows providers how Medicare fee-for-service payments will change from FFY 2023 to FFY 2024 based on the policies set forth in the final rule. The FFY 2024 SNF PPS final rule changes modeled in this analysis include the market basket update, Affordable Care Act-mandated market basket adjustment, forecast error adjustment, wage index budget neutrality, wage index and labor-related share impact, PDPM parity adjustment, and value-based purchasing year-over-year adjustment.
