In honor of National Thrift Shop Day (Aug. 17), CHA’s Volunteer Services department asked two long-standing thrift stores — Antelope Valley Medical Center’s New to You in Lancaster and Grossmont Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary’s Thrift Korral in La Mesa — about their current operations. CHA DataSuite has issued a hospital-specific analysis of the Medicare hospital wage index average hourly wage criteria. Hospitals can use the criteria to test their ability to achieve a federal fiscal year (FFY) 2025 Medicare hospital wage index reclassification. Applications for FFY 2025 hospital wage index reclassifications are due to the Medicare Geographic Classification Review Board by Sept. 1.
