CHA DataSuite has issued a hospital-specific analysis of the Medicare hospital wage index average hourly wage criteria. Hospitals can use the criteria to test their ability to achieve a federal fiscal year (FFY) 2025 Medicare hospital wage index reclassification. Applications for FFY 2025 hospital wage index reclassifications are due to the Medicare Geographic Classification Review Board by Sept. 1.
Potential core-based statistical areas for consideration of reclassification to select from have been reduced using straight line distance formula, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services distance requirements, and a Google API.
