Draft Policies Available for Public Comment on California Data Exchange Framework

What’s Happening: Draft policies for the California Data Exchange Framework (DxF) have been released by the California Health and Human Services Agency’s Center for Data Insights and Innovation (CDII) and are open for public comment.  

What Else to Know: Comments are due to CDII by Dec. 18 for the participant directory policy and by Dec. 21 for the fees policy. 

The following policies and procedures are open for public comment: 

  • Participant Directory: The draft outlines the obligations of DxF participants and CDII for providing, updating, storing, and communicating certain information concerning the networks, health information organizations, or technologies participants choose to use to exchange data. Comments are due to CDII by Dec. 18. 
  • Fees: This draft seeks to clarify when DxF Participants may charge fees to other participants and to individuals. Comments are due to CDII by Dec. 21.
