Hospital Data Sharing Portal Now Open

What’s happening: On Jan. 31, California health care organizations were required to begin sharing electronic health records under the California Data Exchange Framework (DxF).

What else to know: The Center for Data Insights and Innovation (CDII) launched the participant directory in the Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) Signing Portal last week. All participants are required to enter their information via the DSA Signing Portal.

On Jan. 18, CDII released the final participant directory. CHA has created a policy and procedure page which also includes information about the technologies or intermediaries participants will be using to comply with the DxF and identifies the technologies other participants will be using to comply. CDII announced this week that all participants, including most general acute care hospitals, are required to enter their information in the participant directory by Feb. 14. At this time, hospitals that have not signed the DSA will be unable to provide this information to CDII.
