The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued a new vaccine mandate for direct care workers — including those working in home health, hospice, in-home supportive services, assisted living facilities, regional centers, and others — that expands on previous CDPH actions to mandate vaccines for hospital and skilled-nursing facility employees. The order is effective immediately, with full compliance expected by Nov. 30.
