Rock Climber Overcomes One-In-A-Million Cancer Diagnosis

After a rare sarcoma diagnosis and outstanding medical care by City of Hope, Tiffany Jones is getting back to her life of adventure.

Tiffany Jones knew something was wrong when a bruise on her chest just wouldn’t go away. A referral to City of Hope revealed that she had a rare sarcoma that only affects 1 in a million patients diagnosed with cancer.

Her medical team quickly began treatment and performed surgery to remove Tiffany’s sarcoma, followed by a plastic surgery reconstruction to repair the chest wall. Now, she’s back to rock climbing with her daughter and returning to City of Hope for biannual check-ups, visits she describes as “positive, caring, and filled with love.”
