What’s happening: The Hospital Quality Institute (HQI) has released a new reporting service, as part of its Hospital Quality Improvement Platform (HQIP), that includes 95% of the information hospitals are required to report by Sept. 30.
What else to know: More information about the requirements — created under Assembly Bill 1204 (Statutes of 2021) — and HQI’s solution will be shared at a webinar on March 12. This webinar is the first of a four-part series; more information can be found on HQI’s website.
Through HQIP participating hospitals can receive a report that’s more than 95% complete for submission to the Department of Health Care Access and Information.
As part of that report, HQI can support hospitals by:
- Integrating data from existing sources so custom data pulls are not needed
- Preparing structural measures based on tested algorithms
- Building the baseline data infrastructure for rate ratios with pre-filled numerators, denominators, and rates
HQI’s team of experts is available through the entire process, saving hospitals time and frustration. To learn more, visit the HQI website or contact hqianalytics@hqinstitute.org.
