HCAI Releases Notice About Temporary Changes to Accommodate Additional Patients
In response to the California Department of Public Health’s March 16 All Facilities Letter (AFL) 20-26.12, the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) has released a notice to health care facilities about temporary changes to accommodate additional patients during the COVID-19 state of emergency.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) California is asking for support in promoting the Mental Health Crisis Prevention Voluntary Tax Contribution Fund on California tax returns.
HRSA Announces Additional Phase 4 Payments to Providers
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has announced the release of an additional $413 million in payments as part of the Phase 4 distribution of the Provider Relief Fund (PRF). HRSA also confirmed that providers receiving PRF during the first six months of 2022 have until June 30, 2023 to use the funds.
HRSA Announces 340B Eligibility Exceptions Due to COVID-19 Public Health Emergency
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced the implementation of Section 121 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022, which creates an eligibility exception that permits certain hospitals’ reinstatement into the 340B Drug Pricing Program if they meet certain qualifications.

CMS Announces Collaborative on Improving Maternal Health
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the Improving Maternal Health by Reducing Low-Risk Cesarean Delivery (LRCD) Learning Collaborative, which will use a webinar series and an affinity group to offer technical assistance to states and their partners in lowering the number of LRCD births, reducing disparities, and improving health equity.
