Livanta — the Medicare beneficiary and family-centered care quality improvement organization for California — will begin conducting Short Stay and Higher-Weighted Diagnosis Related Group claims reviews for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
In 2019, CMS put claim review services on temporary hold as the agency looked to move to coordination by a single, national contractor. CHA encourages members to review Livanta’s Provider Bulletin for information about this important change.
