What’s happening: By Sept. 30, California hospitals are required to submit detailed health equity reports under Assembly Bill 1204 (2021) — a process that is daunting and tedious, with dozens of measures and hundreds of required fields. The Hospital Quality Institute (HQI) can help.
What else to know: HQI can provide a ready-to-upload report that’s greater than 95% complete (hospitals just need to fill in their equity plan).
HQI also helps by:
- Integrating data from existing sources, saving hospitals from custom data pulls
- Preparing structural measures based on tested algorithms — no guesswork
- Building the baseline data infrastructure for rate ratios with pre-filled numerators, denominators, and rates
