HQI Annual Conference Is One Week Away, Free To CHA Members

The Hospital Quality Institute (HQI) Annual Conference convenes Nov. 7 in Napa, fees have been waived, and it’s not too late to register. Two inspirational keynote addresses and 16 breakout sessions on the most important patient-safety issues of the day make this a can’t-miss opportunity. 

The conference will feature nationally recognized speakers addressing critical patient safety issues and offers attendees practical takeaways, including proven frameworks, strategies, toolkits, and return on investment worksheets. Speakers will share case studies and insights on recent research and innovative programs across four tracks of breakout sessions:   

Track 1: General Patient Safety  

Attendees will learn strategies for applying causal analysis and a proven framework to advance quality improvement efforts. There will also be information on innovative programs for improving patient safety in underserved populations.  

Track 2: Joy in Practice  

This track features strategies for reducing burnout and supporting health care professionals through adverse events. There will be take-home tips for improving staff well-being, building effective teams, holding clinicians accountable, and more.  

Track 3: Data  

From data capture and analysis to the latest Department of Health Care Access and Information efforts, attendees will hear how quality data and machine-based learning can bolster patient safety. improvement efforts.  

Track 4: Health Equity  

This track will examine why minority populations often experience disproportionately adverse patient outcomes. Presenters will explore how bias can impact outcomes and how to overcome language barriers and other obstacles.
