The American Hospital Association (AHA) and other national health care organizations urged U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra to continue the public health emergency (PHE) until it is clear that the global pandemic has waned.
This will ensure flexibilities like space waivers and special rules for telehealth tied to the declaration remain in place for providers until they are no longer necessary. CHA supports AHA’s message to continue the PHE declaration.
