Last Friday, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released state fiscal year (SFY) 2017-18 Phase 2 encounter volume charts for the Hospital Fee Program to all health plans and hospitals. The data cover Jan. 1 – June 30, 2018, and are available via the secure file transfer protocol site.
Reminder: To be considered in the hospital directed payment calculations for Phase 2, any new or revised encounters must be submitted to DHCS by June 30.
DHCS will use the final files in the calculations for Phase 2 directed payments, which will eventually be paid to hospitals in May 2020. A timeline is provided below. For more information, see DHCS’ toolkit.
