The California Department of Public Health has issued a health alert on the use of monoclonal antibody treatments for COVID-19.

The summary describes current recommendations for treatment and post-exposure prophylaxis and includes information about the current ordering and distribution process. The alert also reminds facilities that reporting utilization of anti-SARS-COV-2 monoclonal antibody products is required, noting that utilization informs subsequent allocations, and failure to report use will result in a decrease in California’s allocation from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

Information on the reporting process and links to additional information can also be found in the alert.
