The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued All Facilities Letter (AFL) 21- 19, which provides annual notification of the availability of federal civil money penalty (CMP) funds to support projects that improve care and quality of life for skilled-nursing facility residents.
This includes projects that support resident and family councils, and facility improvement initiatives or technical assistance for facilities implementing quality assurance and performance improvement programs. As of Jan. 1, 2021, CDPH’s available funds for new CMP projects is $12,280,834.
The notice also provides updates to the application process and advises that questions may be emailed to CMPGrantApplications@cdph.ca.gov.
