The Model Medical Staff Bylaws & Rules set the framework for the working relationship of the medical staff, hospital administration and governing body, and assures legal protections are in place. This member forum will explain the approach taken in developing the bylaws and rules, including how they differ from previous CHA versions and why.
Significant changes in the law or how practices have changed will be highlighted. Differences between CHA’s approach and that taken in the California Medical Association’s Model Medical Staff Bylaws will also be addressed.
CHA’s Model Medical Staff Bylaws & Rules are consistent with California and federal law, and with applicable The Joint Commission and DNV Healthcare accreditation standards.
