2019-21 Hospital Fee Program Invoices Due April 29

For CFOs

This post has been archived and contains information that may be out of date.

As shared previously in CHA News, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) sent hospitals invoices covering the first four fee-for-service cycles of the 2019-21 Hospital Fee Program in March. The first invoice is due on April 29 and covers July 1, 2019-Sept. 30, 2019. Hospitals will receive the first fee-for-service payment on May 18.

As a reminder, the invoices include payment instructions that allow hospitals to utilize DHCS’ electronic funds transfer website. It is critical that all hospitals pay their invoices in full and on time. However, due to impacts from the COVID-19 crisis, CHA has heard from many hospitals that are experiencing a financial hardship. CHA encourages those at risk of not paying their invoices in full by April 29 to notify DHCS in advance of the due date and let them know you are experiencing a financial hardship.
