Upcoming Webinar Will Explain 2020 Labor and Employment Laws

CHA will host a member-only Labor & Employment Law Legislative Updates webinar Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. – noon. Informative and interactive, the webinar will focus on new laws that take effect in 2020 and recommendations for implementation, and will include a robust question-and-answer period.

CHA’s Gail Blanchard-Saiger, vice president & counsel, labor and employment, will lead the webinar and discuss the intricacies of new laws and updates, including:

  • Assembly Bill (AB) 5: Independent contractor tests
  • AB 1805: Cal/OSHA reporting requirements
  • Senate Bill (SB) 425: Mandatory reporting of complaints of patient sexual abuse
  • SB 778: Revised deadlines for all employees to receive mandatory sexual harassment training

This webinar offers compliance, health care executive, and legal continuing education units. Application has been made for risk managers to receive continuing education units, as well.
