On Sept. 20, U.S. Sens. Alex Padilla and Dianne Feinstein wrote to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) urging the agency to swiftly disburse reimbursements for emergency protective measures taken by hospitals to combat COVID-19. CHA thanks the senators for their commitment to ensuring hospitals receive these essential funds.

CHA continues to work closely with Congress to secure reimbursement for hospitals’ pandemic expenses. CHA also continues to work with FEMA to expedite payment to hospitals and develop an appropriate framework that both ensures public assistance benefits aren’t duplicated and that hospitals are reimbursed appropriately for the eligible expenses they incurred during the public health emergency.
