Public Comment Period Closes Sept. 28 for Proposed Paramedic Regulations

For CNOs, licensing and certification staff, emergency department staff

The California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) is seeking public comment on new modifications to its regulations for paramedic training, scope of practice, licensing, and discipline. The comment period opened Sept. 13 and closes Sept. 28.

EMSA has removed language related to alternate destination as the new EMSA director works to bring stakeholders together to recraft it. CHA will work with EMSA and other stakeholders on developing the new language.

Comments should be limited to the modifications made after the previous comment period closed – indicated by bolded, italicized double-underline text; and bolded, italicized, double-strikethrough text. Comments can be submitted by any of the following methods:
