The National Quality Forum’s (NQF) Measures Applications Partnership (MAP) has issued its annual list of measures under consideration (MUC) for use in federal quality performance programs.
The MUC list includes 52 unique measures, including nine for the hospital inpatient quality reporting program, four for the hospital outpatient quality reporting program, one for the hospital value-based purchasing program, and one for the hospital-acquired conditions reduction program. The list also includes measures under consideration for the inpatient psychiatric facility quality reporting program and post-acute care quality reporting programs.
NQF will accept public comments on the MUC list until 3 p.m. (PT) Dec. 6. The MAP will host several workgroup meetings in early December and late January, and final recommendations will be delivered to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services by Feb. 1, 2023.
