Medi-Cal SNF Rates Updated

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has updated Medi-Cal rates for hospital-based skilled-nursing facilities (SNFs). FEMA Announces Additional Reopening Funding

On April 5, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced the availability of additional funding to reimburse qualifying costs related to safely reopening and operating certain eligible entities (including private nonprofit medical facilities).   Items eligible for reimbursement include certain personal protective equipment, cleaning and disinfection, COVID-19 diagnostic testing, screening and temperature scanning, and temporary physical barriers for social distancing. CHA Comments on Revised Proposed Regulations on Adverse Events Reporting

On Tuesday, as expected, the bill to create California’s Office of Health Care Affordability unanimously passed out of the Assembly Health Committee, with a couple legislators choosing not to vote.
