The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has begun a 30-day public comment period for the California Advancing & Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) Section 1115 demonstration (or waiver). It began on April 6 and will end on May 6.

The public comment materials can be found on the CalAIM 1115 Demonstration & 1915(b) Waiver web page. DHCS will update this page throughout the public comment period and application process.

Stakeholders may submit public comments via written correspondence, email and/or public hearings on April 26 and May 3. More details on how to submit letters and emails as well as public hearings can be found on the DHCS website.

To be assured consideration prior to the submission of the CalAIM Section 1115 demonstration application and Section 1915(b) waiver application to CMS, comments must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. (PT) on Thursday, May 6. Over the next few weeks, CHA will be developing its comment letter. If you would like to share any feedback or questions, please contact Ryan Witz.
