AB 876 would authorize credentialed nurse anesthetists to independently provide direct and indirect patient care, including administering medications and selecting, modifying, or discontinuing anesthesia based on a patient’s medical record. It would also prohibit requirements for physician supervision or adherence to standardized procedures.
