The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has announced the release of an additional $1.75 billion in payments as part of the Phase 4 distribution of the Provider Relief Fund.
These “batch 5” payments were made to approximately 3,700 providers. From this batch, 631 California providers received $298 million. As of April 13, HRSA has processed 92% of Phase 4 applications, distributing a total of $13.5 billion of the $17 billion allocated for this phase. More than 11,000 California providers have received $1.74 billion from the Phase 4 distribution thus far.
The remaining applications — those for which providers have not received a denial notice or payment — are undergoing additional review as part of HRSA’s risk mitigation and cost containment strategy.
