The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced the release of an additional $142 million in payments as part of the Phase 4 distribution of the Provider Relief Fund. These “Batch 8” payments were made to approximately 151 providers. From “Batch 8,” 30 California providers received $20.6 million.
As of July 7, HRSA has processed 98% of Phase 4 applications, distributing a total of $14.5 billion of the $17 billion allocated for this phase. Over 12,510 California providers have received $1.89 billion from the Phase 4 distribution thus far. The remaining applications — those for which providers have not received a denial notice or payment — are undergoing additional review as part of HRSA’s strategy to mitigate risk and contain costs.
