On Friday, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) mailed the 2017-19 Hospital Fee Program managed care state fiscal year 2018-19 directed payment invoices (July 1-Dec. 31, 2018). Hospitals are reminded that payment is due Aug. 20 and that DHCS prefers fee payments to be made via electronic funds transfer.
It is critical that all hospitals pay their invoices in full and on time. However, due to impacts from the COVID-19 crisis, CHA has heard from many hospitals that are experiencing a financial hardship. CHA encourages those at risk of not paying their invoices in full by Aug. 20 to notify DHCS in advance of the due date and let them know about any financial hardship.
