Funding Available for Telehealth Expansion Projects

The California Department of Health Care Services is using available federal grant funding for a Medication Assisted Treatment access points telehealth expansion project throughout the state. 

Funding is available for eligible organizations to develop, enhance, and/or expand their facility’s telehealth infrastructure. Sites may request up to $100,000 under each funding opportunity. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. (PT) on Aug. 1. 

Eligible organizations must:  

  • Be located in California  
  • Be a nonprofit substance use disorder (SUD)/ mental health (MH) provider 
  • Be currently licensed and/or certified by the State of California for SUD/MH services  
  • Hold a current SUD/MH contract with a county behavioral health department
