Former Major League Baseball pitcher Danny Boitano was stunned to learn that he had pancreatic cancer. After meeting with several specialists, Danny “finally felt [he] found the care he was looking for” at UC San Diego Health. Its team of multidisciplinary specialists used chemotherapy, electroporation, and surgery to eradicate the cancer from Danny — who is now in remission and back hunting deer in Colorado.
