In this unique and challenging time for health care workers, the Hospital Quality Institute — in partnership with CHA and BETA Healthcare Group — has developed a webinar designed to offer “psychological first aid” to those responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. The second of three complimentary members-only webinars was held today. The third and final webinar will be April 21 from 9 a.m. to noon (PT).
“Care for the Caregiver” includes practical and necessary tools to assist hospitals and their employees in creating a peer support model. Additionally, the training offers information on how to engage in empathic conversation with both patients and families. These resources will help employees help their co-workers, patients, and families with the very real and significant stresses during these difficult and tumultuous times.
