Earlier this week, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) announced the dates that retention payment funds will be released. The funds, which must be disbursed by the covered entity within 60 days, will be released in three batches:
- Tuesday, March 28
- Thursday, March 30
- Wednesday, April 5
Additionally, DHCS issued guidance on fund distribution, which states that the funds will be sent by check to covered entities, and that DHCS will email a roster of eligible employees to the covered entity. Finally, the guidance also covers what to do if a hospital cannot locate a worker.
