The California Department of Justice (DOJ) recently awarded the contract for prescription data collection services for the Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System (CURES) to a new vendor — Bamboo Health’s PMP Clearinghouse.

The change was effective Jan. 1; pharmacies, software vendors, and dispensers can begin creating their PMP Clearinghouse accounts now. Beginning Feb. 23, dispensers are required to transmit their data using PMP Clearinghouse. Please note, this is a later date than what was communicated in previous notifications.

For information on how licensees of Department of Consumer Affairs boards are impacted by this change, please see the New Data Collection Vendor For CURES document on the DOJ CURES web page
