The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued new guidance on the May 11 end of the COVID-19 public health emergency and related regulatory waivers.
Notably, CMS says that it will soon end the requirement that hospitals must demonstrate their staff are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Additional details on the end of that requirement are forthcoming.
