The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has clarified that the COVID-19 public health emergency and related waivers and flexibilities remain in effect until May 11, despite the recent passage of Congress’ joint resolution (H.J. Res.7) that would end the COVID-19 national emergency.

The White House has indicated it will not veto the bill, which passed the House on Feb. 1 and the Senate on March 29.
