As the July 1 deadline approaches for submitting hospital supplier diversity reports to the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD), CHA has developed FAQs to assist hospitals in preparing their reports on minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprise procurement efforts. In addition, more information is available in this CHA on-demand webinar featuring OSPHD staff and guidance and suggested templates for hospitals and systems from OSHPD.
Under Health and Safety Code Section 1339.85-1339.87, hospitals with operating expenses of $50 million or more, and licensed hospitals with operating expenses of $25 million or more that are part of a hospital system, are required to annually submit a report OSHPD, which is responsible for developing and administering the program to collect and post hospital supplier diversity reports. Hospitals can request a 30-day extension for reporting by emailing SupplierDiversity@oshpd.ca.gov.
