As a reminder, Gov. Jerry Brown signed Senate Bill 1383 in 2016, which set methane emissions reduction targets for California in a statewide effort to lower emissions of short-lived climate pollutants. This legislation impacts everyone who generates organic waste, from schools and universities to businesses such as hospitals.
