For SNF leaders, infection preventionists

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued All Facilities Letter (AFL) 22-07.1 regarding visitation requirements for skilled-nursing facilities (SNFs).

The updated guidance rescinds the requirements outlined in the Aug. 26, 2021, public health order, including provisions that required visitors to show proof of vaccination or a negative test for indoor visitation. The AFL communicates that visitors must continue to comply with CDPH masking guidance and should continue all current infection prevention practices.
